Amy Long
Amy came to
Japan in 1996 after graduating from Brown University. She expected
to stay for 1 year. A husband, 2 kids, an English
school and 15 years later, Japan is her life and home.
Before opening
Dave and Amy English School in Saitama in 1996, Amy taught at NOVA, ECC, and an
all-girls Catholic Junior High School/ High School. Dave and
Amy knew how and what they wanted to teach after teaching at so many places for
so many years. That said, they are continuously developing
materials and making tiny changes to their lessons to improve their students
English. Their school currently has 2 locations with over 300
students. Amy plans to be in Japan for at least another 20
years.
